Summer Reading Fun 2008!
Contest for Adult Readers

Wondering why kids should have all the fun?  This year, the Library initiates its first Adult Summer Reading Program to encourage adults to enjoy reading throughout the summer.   

Adults reading four books and completing an entry form will win a chance to enter a drawing for The Great Book Bag, which will be filled with goodies, books, gift cards and reader’s accessories. Visit our Summer Reading page for more details.

Thousands of people all over South Carolina use their public libraries to access the information they need to improve their lives, whether it’s to grow personally or professionally or to help their children learn and stretch their imaginations. TumbleBookLibrary is an online collection of animated, talking picture books which teach young children the joys of reading in a format they'll love.  Union County Carnegie Library patrons can access this fun new resource by clicking the button shown here.

TumbleBooks and TumbleQuizzes are created in Flash animation and require the Flash plug-in to view and hear the animation.  If you are unable to view the books you can download the Flash plug-in for free at www.macromedia.com
